" Is Google Making Us Stupid?"

Today many people are saying how technology is taking over the world. I completely agree with this statement. If people aren't on their phones then they are on the computer. Face to face communication hardly exit anymore. Internet is one of the biggest components destroying communication and maybe in a  away destroying intelligence. Nicholas Carr says in his essay, "Is Google Making Us Stupid,?" " The more they use the web, the more they have to fight to stay focused on long pieces of writing." I agree with this. I often find myself writing a paper, then looking something up on the internet. Next thing I know I am on a shopping website wasting away all my money. I can't stay focused once I take the step to type something into the well known google bar.
