Brick Wall Significance
I think that the brick wall is connected to the author because they are both growing old. While it might be harder to notice yourself aging, it it very evident in something like brick to see it age. Since the brick wall is being knocked down and being destroyed it it evident to the author that he will eventually come to an end.

I agree with Shannon's post because bricks do grow old, as we all do. Every brick on a wall is important to how a wall looks- similarly to a person. Every person is shaped by their past experiences and those who've impacted their lives, just like the author.
